Here the perfect football analogy of the election and debates.
In 2008, Obama was the 2009 New Orleans Saints and McCain was the Indianapolis Colts in the Super Bowl. Everyone felt good for the Saints because of the hurricane Katrina and the devastation that went with it, so many in America felt that way about Obama in 2008.
In 2012, the first presidential debate it was Obama (Saints) vs. Romney (Tim Tebow’s Denver) and the odds makers had the spread of Obama up by 48 points. The end score was 48 to 7 in favor Romney and people were stunned.
In the second debate, the odds makers had the Romney spread up 36 points. The end score was 17 to 10 in favor of Romney and 7 points of Obama’s was spotted to him by the moderator Candy.
So the left is like, see see Romney didn’t blow it out or cover the spread so Obama won!
