I am a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. I believe in sharing my talents and experiences by giving back to the community by giving my time to coaching, church and especially to the disability community. I truly believe that all men and women are created equally.
Having spent time researching both candidates running for Alderman in the First District, I have decided to endorse Marty Van Hoof as representative of my District, the First District, to the Common Council.
Many of the ideas that I was running on, are parallel with Marty’s. What swung my support in his direction was the fact that he has been giving of his time being a part of the Cudahy Community. Marty participated in the Comprehensive 20 Year Plan. Marty serves on the Design Review Board and Community Development Authority. Marty has some firsthand insight on what is working for the Community and what needs improvement.
Marty has been a part of some successes while a member of these Boards, some of which are purely advisory in nature. Some of the accomplishments include:
More than 12 local Businesses participated in the Façade Grant Program, businesses that have invested their own money to make improvements on their buildings for the benefit of Cudahy.
A welcome Wagon Program to help bring businesses to downtown Cudahy.
Development Agreements with five businesses to help them build in Cudahy or improve their properties.
Was on the CDA as they regained control of the land formally known as the Iceport, help mitigate the soil as part of a grant, and make it a marketable asset to our community again.
Worked with Cobalt Partners, LLC on a development agreement to make otherwise undeveloped properties marketable.
For these reasons, I am supporting Marty. I ask that you support Marty as well.
Please vote for Marty Van Hoof on April 2 for First District Alderman.
