John Manke is an active former Bay View resident who is involved in numerous neighborhood organizations, including the Bay View Historical Society, the Humboldt Park Fourth of July Association and the Shore Shore Farmers Market. He believes Bay View has a fine tradition in its past that we do not want to lose in the future.
From about 11 am to 10 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2013, the Bay View Bash will be held on S. Kinnickinnic Ave. from E. Potter Ave. to S. Clement Ave. There will be about 5 stages at this event. There will be a strongman contest at the middle stage on S. Lenox St. & S. KK Ave. The Children's Stage will be on the parking lot of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bay View. There will be a stage in this area for the children to enjoy. Rainbow Randa,Princess of Magic (Julie Sobanski), and others will perform on this stage. There will be children's games and several schools and non-profit groups will be there. Fun will be had by all. The Bay View Bash will have several bands performing at various times. Politicians and vendors will be present in the various booths on S. KK Ave. We will have representatives from the Milwaukee Fire Department and by several mascots from the Milwaukee area. This is a free event and everybody is invited to attend. The adult activities will mainly be in the afternoon and evening. Y'all come and see us there.
