Most days including Fridays the drive is pretty uneventful, however the one on October 11th was different.
When on got onto I-94 East bound in Waukesha, things started out odd.
Had a rock hauling truck run the red light a quickly turn onto the Interstate. He just about tipped over going through the red light and making the turn.
When I finally got on, I moved over to the left lane. We were all doing a tad over the 65mph speed limit, however that was to change.
My car and those behind me came across a car with the trunk open and the lid moving up and down, so I moved to the middle to pass him as I didn’t want something from his trunk to bounce out.
I passed the car and moved back over to the left to find the person in front of me with his right turn signal left on. After a little bit, he figured it out.
Then we all came upon the person in the left lane going about 40mph in a 65mph area. We couldn’t move to the middle or the right as traffic was heavy.
The guy two cars behind me just couldn’t take it and dangerously passed us and the 40mph on the left emergency lane. That did make the person move over to the middle.
It was 3:41pm and I moved to the center lane and guess who was ahead of me? It was the “Attendance Taker”. The “Hall Monitor” was not in the SUV. I traveled behind the “Attendance Taker” who was driving a tad over the now 55mph speed limit until just after the State Fair.
I moved over to the left lane and was next to the “Attendance Taker” and waved with my splint and bandages on. The “Attendance Taker” saw me waving, but quickly looked away. He would not look over at me. The “Attendance Taker” then slowed down below the speed limit and stayed behind a semi-truck. I looked for the “Attendance Taker”, but he stayed behind the truck going below the speed limit. I wasn’t about to waste my time for the “Attendance Taker”, so I just kept on driving home.
