John Manke is an active former Bay View resident who is involved in numerous neighborhood organizations, including the Bay View Historical Society, the Humboldt Park Fourth of July Association and the Shore Shore Farmers Market. He believes Bay View has a fine tradition in its past that we do not want to lose in the future.
The snow outdoors has finally started to melt. You can actually see some grass. If only some warm weather would come soon. We need to have spring soon. This is the worst winter that I can remember in ages. Let's pray that we don't have as many days over 90 degrees this summer. In the past this situation has happened. The weather is just going in cycles. I doubt if Global Warming is causing all of these extra cold days. We have no control over the weather. We just have to grin and bear it. Here's hoping some warmer days will soon be here.
