On March 29, 2014, we were invited to attend the 90th birthday for Ruth Simos, who has volunteered in the Bay View community most of her life. Jason Haas, Marina Dimitrijevic and Tony Zielinski all presented Ruth with proclamations. Many friends and relatives were there to greet her. It is not everyday, that somebody you know has reached the age of 90. For many years, Ruth has volunteered in the Bay View community. She is also quite an artist and has many of her paintings at her house. It is now time for her to slow down. She was the founder of the Humboldt Park Watch among other things. She has been active in the Bay View Historical Society for many years. She has been an active member of I.C. Catholic Church for all of her life. She attended Bay View High School many years ago. To list all of her activities would be very difficult, but know that she has been a great lady for all of her life. Happy birthday, Ruth. I hope that this was one of the best days of your life. We hope that you have success in all that you do and hope that your have great happiness in all that you do.
