From 8 am to 12 noon, the South Shore Farmers' Market will be open to the public on Saturday morning. The last market had plenty of people in attendance. Although not all of the farmers and vendors were on site, there was still plenty of goods to sell. Plants were being purchased in large amounts. The prime beef sandwiches were very tasty. It was warm in the sun, but cool in the shade. Randa the Patriotic Clown performed and a few local schools were there on site. Geoff Marsh presented his "Fire Circus Show!" and the children and adults loved his performance.
On Satruday, June 21st, we will have the South Shore Yacht Club-- with junior sailing lessions. Afterwards, "Calamity Janes & the Fratney St. Band Folkgrass" with three-part Harmonies. As the market continues, more and more vendors will be on site and more good will be on sale. Come down and relax with a cup of coffee and a sweetroll and enjoy the rest of the market. There should be egg rolls and bubble tea, crepes, fresh beef on the grill, fresh mushrooms, many fresh vegetables and spices, flowers and plants for sale, homemade candy, kettlecorn, fresh eggs, preserves and jellies from St. Ann's Center, three bakeries, two coffee shops, frozen soups, and other items that you will like will be on sale there.
Everyone is welcome to attend, with your dog on a leash. There are a limited amount of picnic tables and parking spaces. Come early and you will have no problems with this. Y'all come and join us.
