I wish to thank everyone who came out and helped us at our 104th Independence Day celebration on July 4th. Many volunteers and members came out and did many jobs so our children and grandchildren could have a full day of activities. We had the morning parade, games for children and adults, the donut eating contest, the organizing and judging of the children's doll buggy, coaster wagon, bikes and trikes, the afternoon parade with the children and their entries, the"Jazzy Jewels" from Washington Park, the dance contest, and the talent show. Afterwards, I would like to thank Jeff Shafer for his work on the Chalet stage and music presentation. Afterwards, we had our award and color guard presentation. Our evening program was great as was the fireworks.
I can't forget "Rainbow Randa" and her Patriotic Clown Show and the 1860's style baseball game and players.
As you can see, we have a full day of activities and with the help of your donation, we need to raise $11,000 each year. Because of your support and our 75 volunteers, we have the best Independence Day celebration in the City of Milwaukee. We have been in existence since 1910. We appreciate your support.
Thank you all for your help and support of our Humboldt Park celebration of July 4th.
