John Manke is an active former Bay View resident who is involved in numerous neighborhood organizations, including the Bay View Historical Society, the Humboldt Park Fourth of July Association and the Shore Shore Farmers Market. He believes Bay View has a fine tradition in its past that we do not want to lose in the future.
Lately, we have been experiencing some great weather. It is not too hot to stay indoors, nor is it too cool to always need a jacket or sweater. There are many activities happening in our community. We will have our Corn Roast fundraiser at Humboldt Park on Tuesday, August 12 at the Chill on the Hill eveing program. We will have our Bocce Fest today at Humboldt Park. We are looking forward to the Bay View Bash on September 13th. On October 8th, we will have Tree Day at Humboldt Park for our invited first graders to be able to tour the park and work on educational programs inside of the pavilion. Possibly we may be able to see some trees being planted in our park. These are only a few of the activities in Bay View. Relax and stretch your legs to be at some of these events. Y'all are invited to attend.
