Sarah Palin Facts

alaska, conservative, creationism, earmarks, john mccain, sarah palin, troopergate

I've noticed a LOT of people at my work really taking a position on this election. That's a good thing, in my opinion, because it's important for everyone to be involved. However, I've also noticed that there are certain people--not necessarily conservatives, which really scares me--who have taken a liking to Sarah Palin without really knowing any of her stances on any issue whatsoever. And THAT is truly ignorant. Here are some of her stances, and a very blatant lie:

1. Sarah Palin supported the Bridge to Nowhere. Now she says she opposed it. The fact that she's still saying she opposed it is unbelievable at this point.

2. Sarah Palin is opposed to abortion even in cases of rape and incest.

3. Sarah Palin is involved in multiple scandal investigations, not the least of which being the "Troopergate" scandal. We'll see how this plays out, but the evidence isn't on her side.

4. Sarah Palin believes the Iraq war is a "task from God."

5. While Mayor of Pasilla, Alaska, Sarah Palin obtained $27 million in earmarks.

6. Sarah Palin supports the teaching of Creationism in schools.

7. Sarah Palin is opposed to alternative energy solutions.

8. Sarah Palin left Wasilla $20 million in debt.

Plenty more where this came from. But my main concern is her ethics at this point (which says a lot, given how opposed I am to her views). What I've seen just from a cursory glance on this issue is a lot of cronyism, and I'm sick of the past 8 years of cronyism, where horse judges are chosen to lead FEMA and people who disagree are fired and CIA officers are outed publicly.

Yours,

Ken Brosky
