Dear everyone,
Here I am on my second tour in Iraq, helping to ensure that our American way of life can continue ( from my perspective we are keeping the war out of our country by fighting it elsewhere). While I am gone, it turns out funds are being taken away from a holiday, that exists because of our service men and women; which takes away so much from the City of Milwaukee. Funding was dropped citywide for the 4th of July Talent Contests.
Something is definitely wrong here. What is next, cutting the children's contests? There would be an uproar in the City of Milwaukee when all of those children show up with their decorated tricycles, bicycles, coaster wagons and doll buggies without the opportunity to compete for a prize or to show off their hard work.
It looks like I will indeed have to get involved in politics when I get home next year, to stop that flow of idiotic action that seems to be on the increase (well that's "if" I get home next year because I might go to Afghanistan from here first). I know that I am not "politically correct" in how I state things, but doggone it, that doesn't mean that I am wrong.
I don't have a degree from any of the schools of "higher learning", but I was schooled in patriotism and a love for my country, state, city and neighborhood. That is what I will bring to the table for the voting booth.
Well, enjoy your freedom, because I am enjoying providing it for you. I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve my country during this current conflict. I understand the reason we as Americans have our freedom and will continue to do what I can, for Righteousness Sake, to ensure that it continues.
I have sent a $ 500.00 donation to the Humboldt Park 4th of July Association. I hope that next year this is not necessary.
