Who will protect Milwaukee if we have two major fires in one day?
As you know we now have brownouts with the Milwaukee Fire Department due to funding cuts from Milwaukee City Hall. Did you know that when we had the "Pizza Man Fire", fire departments from the suburbs were brought to fill Milwaukee fire houses in case of any needed protection to the rest of Milwaukee. If we were to have two major fires in one day in the city, who would protect the rest of Milwaukee? All of our reserves would be used in the two fires. There would be no protection for rest of Milwaukee. We can only go the well so many times and still come out with water. We need to restore the cuts made to our fire department. Are you going to be happy to hear that no fire of health protection would be available to city residents due to lack of available equipment and fire personnel? Do you want this to happen? You can prevent this situation from happening if you contact your local alder person and demand that the fire department be brought back to full capacity. Even though the fire personnel that we have are hard workers, they can only do so much with limited funding and personnel.
Unless something is done soon, Milwaukee could be found without needed fire protection and health services in a major fire situation. We the people must confront our local politicians to correct this situation now, before it is too late and people suffer. Take the time and check the newspaper files to confirm what I am talking about. The evidence is there to read for yourself. Please help the Milwaukee Fire Department get its reduced funding restored now.
