John Manke is an active former Bay View resident who is involved in numerous neighborhood organizations, including the Bay View Historical Society, the Humboldt Park Fourth of July Association and the Shore Shore Farmers Market. He believes Bay View has a fine tradition in its past that we do not want to lose in the future.

WHAT: We'll be building raised beds for over 100 community garden plots. Bring your shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows and join your neighbors in creating Bay View's largest community garden.
WHEN: Saturday,May 1st Workday: 8 am to 8 pm After-party/BVHH Garden Fundraiser 8 pm to 11 pm. Join us for food, beer, art, music and the announcement of VGI's Garden Blitz winners.
