Barron-Ratkowski

Heather Barron and Matthew Ratkowski were married Nov. 1, 2008, at St. Therese Parish, Milwaukee.

Father of the bride is Arturo Barron, St. Francis. Parents of the groom are Russell and Tracy Ratkowski, St. Francis.

The Rev. Hugh Birdsall officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at The Preserve at Deer Creek Golf, New Berlin.

The bride wore an ivory, satin A-line gown. She carried a bouquet of sunflowers.

Maids of honor were Kelly Carroll and Stacy Sokol, both of Greenfield, both friends of the bride. Bridesmaids were Megan Towe, Surprise, Ariz.; Mahogany Barron, St. Francis; Michelle Smoot, Cudahy; and Meghan Barron, Cudahy. Junior bridesmaids were Samantha and Brianna Carloni, both of Wauwatosa.

Best men were Dan Dahlke, South Milwaukee, friend of the groom, and Andy Towe, Surprise, Ariz., brother-in-law of the groom. Groomsmen were Joshua Barron, St. Francis; Aaron Mould, Cudahy; Robin VanHoff, Greenfield; and Aaron Imholte, New Berlin. Junior groomsman was Jake Mauermann, Wauwatosa.

Flower girls were Lauren and Kaitlyn Dahlke, South Milwaukee, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Braedon Rejniak, St. Francis, nephew of the bride.

The bride, a 2000 graduate of St. Francis High School, earned her associate degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College.

The groom, also a 2000 graduate of St. Francis High School, is a member of the Wisconsin Army National Guard.

The couple met at a birthday party with mutual friends in September 2007. The reception was catered by Thunder Bay Grille, where the couple had their first date.

They honeymooned for a weekend at Lake Lawn Resort and reside in Wauwatosa.
