St. Francis


A resident of the 1200 block of East Norwich Avenue reported that $900 was taken from her apartment at some point within the two weeks prior to Feb. 27. There were no signs of forced entry and no other items were taken from the apartment.

A catalytic converter was reported cut from a vehicle in the 4500 block of South Whitnall Avenue at 2 p.m. March 8. Loss is estimated at $120.

A 51-year-old homeless woman was cited for retail theft and drug paraphernalia possession at Pick 'n Save, 4698 S. Whitnall Ave., at 1:27 p.m. March 10. The woman was seen taking over-the-counter medications she did not pay for. After being taken into custody, a pipe was found in her possession.


A 12-inch scratch was made in a car's paint in the 3100 block of East Cudahy Avenue prior to 3:30 p.m. March 7.


A 32-year-old man from Mexico was cited for driving with a revoked license, driving with suspended registration, driving without insurance and possession of a fake ID at the intersection of Kinnickinnic and Howard avenues at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 28. The man was taken to the Milwaukee County Criminal Justice Facility on an immigration detainer after the Department of Homeland Security determined that the man had been removed from the U.S. once before and no record of legal re-entry could be found.
