Feb. 15, 2009

Three men were shot early today in a parked car on Milwaukee's south side, Milwaukee police are reporting.

Police are seeking a 21-year-old male suspect who they believe shot into a parked car at 3:38 a.m. at S. 9th St. and W. Hayes Ave.

Police Lt. Thomas Stigler said the suspect was on foot and there was an additional shooter.

A 23-year-old man was shot in the leg, a 19-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and a 21-year-old man was shot in the thigh, Stigler said.

All three victims were taken to an area hospital. Two were treated and released and one is still being treated, he said.

Police said the two victims who were released after treatment were not cooperating with investigators and that the shooting does not appear to be gang-related.
