The BayView Area Redcats have lowered their prices so any child who wants to play youth sports still can, even in this tough economy.
The organization is looking for people interested in sponsoring a child in sports to call them, and it will be contacting the businesses in the area to get player or team sponsorships to help the children who can't afford to play.
The Redcats' fundraisers are not currently covering the cost of uniforms, fields, insurance and equipment. The group offers baseball, softball, football, basketball and cheerleading, group officials said.
