The tailgate on a truck was stolen while it was parked in a driveway on the 6100 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue sometime between Feb. 12 and Feb. 19 while the owner was on vacation. The tailgate was valued at about $300.
About 45 gallons of diesel fuel and 10 gallons of oil were stolen from two semi-tractors at Janku Trucking, 1801 E. Kelly Lane, sometime between 7 p.m. March 5 and 9 p.m. March 8. The stolen fuel and damages to the vehicles, which disable their security systems, were approximately $740.
A $400 cellphone was stolen from a 14-year-old Cudahy girl from her locker while she was playing volleyball in the gymnasium of Cudahy Middle School, 5530 S. Barland Ave., sometime between 4 and 6 p.m. March 12. Police were unable to track the phone using GPS.
A $200 cellphone was stolen from a Cudahy man while he was riding a Milwaukee County Transit System bus on a route 15, sometime before 7 p.m. March 12. The victim reported the incident after he tracked his phone with GPS to an apartment building on the southeast corner of Monroe and 10th avenues, but police were unable to find the phone or a suspect that matched the victim's description of approximately 40-year-old man he believed took the phone.
A 44-year-old Cudahy woman was arrested at Grandma's Kitchen, 5018 S. Packard Ave., where she works, for stealing medication and $11 from her daughter, around 2 p.m. March 13. Police found her with 60 tablets of tizanidine in a bottle prescribed for her daughter.
A purse was stolen from a minivan parked at Blast Fitness, 2525 E. Layton Ave., between 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. March 15. The right front passenger door window was smashed to get inside the vehicle. The window and the contents of the stolen purse were valued at about $285.
An attendant at Sunrise Citgo gas station, 4570 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., reported that a man in a black four-door Audi drove off without paying for $70 of gas just before 10 a.m. March 15. The attendant suspects the same man took $56 of gas from that station in January.
A 39-year-old Cudahy man was arrested for drug possession after he was found with 0.4 grams of marijuana at his residence in the 4900 block of South Kirkwood Avenue around 8 p.m. March 15. Police were called to the scene by the man's girlfriend after he threw her down during an argument, for which he was also arrested.
A 23-year-old Cudahy man was arrested for drunken driving in 4800 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue around 4 a.m. March 10, after police saw him jump a curb of Pennsylvania Avenue, drive off the road for 20 feet and miss a traffic sign. The man's blood alcohol content was 0.19.
A 40-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs after he was pulled over in 5600 block of South Packard Avenue for driving 47 miles-per-hour in a 25 miles-per-hour zone, around 2 p.m. March 11. The 3-year-old son of his girlfriend was also in the car. The man admitted to taking 64 mgs of prescribed methadone earlier that day and was carrying six pills of alprazolam in a bottle for a different prescription drug.
A 28-year-old Cudahy woman was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, just as she arrived outside of her residence on the 6000 block of South New York Avenue after the woman failed to yield while making a left turn and nearly caused a collision, around 2:30 a.m. March 13. The woman's BAC was 0.17.
A 49-year-old Mount Pleasant man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, on the 5700 block of South Packard Avenue after he was seen driving erratically, 20 miles-per-hour faster than the posted speed limit at around 12:30 in the afternoon of March 14. The BAC was registered at 0.086 at the scene of the arrest and 0.07 at the police station.
A 27-year-old South Milwaukee woman was pulled over and arrested by Cudahy police in the 2900 block of East Layton Avenue after stealing gas from a station in Cudahy at around 11:30 p.m. March 10.
A minivan used by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi was broken into by prying off the handle from the door causing $500 in damage, while the car was parked in a lot in the 3200 block of South Lake Drive, sometime between 8:30 p.m. March 13 and 9:30 a.m. March 14. Nothing was reported stolen from the car.
A 26-year-old man was hospitalized and then arrested possession of drug paraphernalia related to heroin use at around 4:30 p.m. March 11, after a friend found him passed out with his lips turning blue at his residence in the 2800 block of East Bolivar Avenue. The man also had a warrant out for his arrest with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department for similar charges.
A police officer found graffiti on the west side of the southbound exit of Interstate 794 on Howard Avenue at around 10 a.m. March 15.
A 49-year-old woman was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs in the parking lot of Pick 'n Save, 4698 S. Whitnall Ave., at around 4 p.m. March 13, after she hit another car and seemed to be unsteady, confused and failed sobriety tests. She admitted to taking anxiety medication alprazolam.
A bottle of prescribed oxycodone and a wallet were reported stolen from an unlocked apartment in the 500 block of Michigan Avenue, between 7 and 10:30 a.m. March 2. The stolen items were collectively valued at $110.
Two women left the restaurant Sunrise, 2418 10th Ave., without paying for the $20 of food they had just eaten, around 2 p.m. March 2.
About a cord of wood worth $200 was reported stolen from a residence in the 1700 block of Marquette Avenue at around 2:30 p.m. March 2.
A catalytic converter worth $550 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in a public lot at 1601 N. Chicago Ave., around 10:30 a.m. March 8.
A woman walked out of Pick 'n Save, 2931 S. Chicago Ave., without paying for $34 of products she took with her, around 3:30 p.m. March 8. An employee reported that the same woman has come to this store and another location in Oak Creek several times.
A smartphone valued at $400 was stolen from a student at South Milwaukee High School, 801 15th Ave., sometime during the school day March 9.
A license plate was stolen from a car parked in the driveway of a residence in the 600 block of Williams Avenue sometime between March 10 and March 14.
A car was reported broken into by smashing a window and items valued at $150 stolen from the car while it was parked in the 900 block of Manitoba Avenue round 3 p.m. March 10.
The window of a truck was broken and items stolen from within while it was parked in the 600 of Marshall Avenue before 10 a.m. March 10, resulting in damages of $930.
The window of a car was broken and a stereo and GPS navigation system was stolen from inside while the car was parked in the 600 block of Madison Avenue, sometime before 10:30 a.m. March 10. The damaged window and stolen property were valued at $1,330.
A car was broken into and a stereo system stolen from inside sometime during night of March 9 or early morning hours of March 10 while the car was parked in the 800 block of Minnesota Avenue.
A high school student's $550 smartphone was stolen from his gym locker during the school day March 11 at South Milwaukee High School, 801 15th Ave.
A 52-year-old man was arrested for burglary in Pat's Oak Manor bar, 1804 15th Ave., at around 2:30 a.m. March 12. A caller living above the bar called police after hearing commotion in the bar after it had closed for the night.
Gutters were reported stolen from a foreclosed house in the 1400 block of Sherman Avenue on 11 a.m. March 14.
Two garbage cans were stolen from a residence in the 2300 block of Ninth Avenue sometime during the day March 14.
An 18-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, around 4 a.m. March 2 on the corner of Chicago Avenue and Aspen Street. He was arrested in the car of a friend who was driving him and another passenger home after he drove his car off the road and hit a tree on the 1000 block of Elm Avenue and injured the other passenger. His BAC was registered at 0.10.
A 29-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, on the corner of Chicago and Marquette avenues at around 2:30 a.m. March 9. Her BAC was registered at 0.19.
A 37-year-old Racine man was arrested for drunken driving on the corner of Nicholson and Rawson avenues at around 10 p.m. March 14. His BAC was registered at 0.10.
A rock was thrown at and broke a window of a residence in the 1100 block of 15th Avenue on March 10 at an unspecified time.
All four tires on a car were punctured and deflated causing $800 in damages while the car was parked in the 3700 block of South Chicago Avenue in the early morning hours of March 13.
A residence in the 1700 block of Poplar Avenue was reported vandalized at around 6 p.m. March 14. The words "you know you can't hide" had been spray-painted on the patio door.
A South Milwaukee man was arrested after he called Walgreens' corporate office in Danville, Ill., around 4:30 p.m. March 8 and threatened to shoot up the Walgreens walk-in clinic at 2985 S Chicago Ave. The man was upset about an ongoing billing issue with Walgreens, and he voluntarily gave up his rifle when he was arrested.
A 31-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for recklessly endangering safety after he drunkenly shot three blasts into the air with a pump shotgun outside of his residence in the 1300 block of Minnesota Avenue around 3 a.m. March 10.
A 16-year-old man was hospitalized for burns after a cigarette he placed in an ashtray under his bed started a fire which he soon extinguished in his room at the residence in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue, at around 2 p.m. March 14.
South Milwaukee Police responded to 20 domestic incidents between March 1 and March 15.
