BIG Big Winefest!

Feb. 25, 2012

Well, they say wine is sunshine held together by water! Let's pull out the corks and let the wine flow from the vine! The 8th Annual Bay View Wine Fest, Milwaukee’s largest wine tasting party, will take place on Saturday evening, March 24th, 2012, starting at 6 p.m. at the historic Marian Center in Bay View, formerly known as the old St. Mary’s Academy.

Steeped in history, the Marian Center is easily Bay View's most beautiful and historic building. Located at 3211 South Lakeshore Drive, the Marian Center is a very unique location for a wine and food tasting!

Wine tasting participants will enjoy an enchanting and magical evening of superb wine tasting, delicious samples of food from local establishments, and great music. Attendees will also discover a huge wholesale art auction at the event.

And you never know, you might see a ghost from the past shimmering through the tall oak trees of the spooky Marian property!

The Bay View Wine Fest is a longstanding event, and offers a quality wine and food tasting experience, offering many diverse varieties of wine. It’s not just your average wine tasting event. Some have said it’s even better than the Milwaukee Wine Festival, in terms of quality and variety, not to mention what you get for the dollar.

Wine lovers will also have the option to upgrade to a limited premier wine tasting experience. Only 75 tickets will be available for the premier wine tasting area, so those craving the higher end wines are encouraged to order tickets early, as this area of the event has sold out very quickly since being added to the event.

One of the long-standing organizations that also benefit from the Bay View Wine Fest for several years now is W.A.G.G.R - Wisconsin Adopt-A-Golden Retriever, so expect to some beautiful Golden Retrievers along with the wine and food!

The gala will also provide the opportunity to support The Milwaukee Air & Water Show, Milwaukee's only air show event. Plenty of free off-street parking is available at the Marian Center’s large parking lot, and it’s easy to get to.

Each year, the winefest heats up the night with all kinds of great sounds, including some swing music! And yes, there is a lot of room for dancing!

Advance tickets are $25, or $30 at the door, and are available for purchase online at www.bvwinefest.com. Wine tasting aficionados should order their tickets early, since tickets are very limited, and only 500 are available for sale.

The event sells out each year. Each wine fest ticket includes tasting of all wine and food. Adults only, over 21. Cash, check or credit card accepted. For additional info, please visit www.bvwinefest.com, or call Paul at (414)482-2069,or email to
