Bay View Historical Society Presents Mario Carini on April 2nd

March 22, 2012

Mario Carini will be the Bay View Historical Society’s guest speaker on Monday, April 2nd. Carini, an authority on the history of Milwaukee’s Italians, was born in Milwaukee of Italian immigrant parents. His extensive collection of primary research materials which documents Milwaukee’s Italians from 1850 – 1969 has been awarded copyrights from the Library of Congress. He has written a book entitled “Milwaukee's Italians: The Early Years,” which contains his decades of research on the Italian community in Milwaukee.

Carini inherited his love of history from his parents and his presentations reflect his passion for the history of Milwaukee's Italians. He will transport us to earlier days in Milwaukee as he presents "Milwaukee's Italians in Bay View and Beyond."

Carini’s talk will be held at the Beulah Brinton Center, 2555 S. Bay Street at 7:00 PM on Monday, April 2nd. This presentation is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
