Randy Hollenbeck for Cudahy District 3 Alderman

Dear Cudahy District 3 Citizens,

My name is Randy Hollenbeck and I am asking for your vote on 2-19-13 in the Cudahy Non-Partisan Primary Election and then again on 4-2-13 in the Cudahy Non-Partisan Spring General Election for Alderman of the Third District.

I am a fiscal conservative and mainstream citizen with a tough stance on crime and lower taxes who faces the same daily problems and battles that most people in Cudahy face. I believe in the common sense approach. I believe in the power of the people. I believe in keeping people informed. I want to help move Cudahy into the future and out of the past. I have no ties to the old guard nor do I owe others anything.

Lee Iacocca said it best, “Lead, follow, or get out of the way!”

The betterment of the Cudahy is always on my mind. I want to see Cudahy prosper with new businesses, keep the current businesses, and see a reversal on the stat of residential to business property taxes paid in Cudahy. Right now that stat is upside down.

I have a heavy hand when I see things not being done and the tact and finesse to get along with others when that side and approach is needed. Government must transcend normal politics and rise to the challenges of today. I never hide how I feel and I will make communication one of my top priorities. I want to reach out to all the citizens in my district and keep the ones that wish to be informed of what is going on in Cudahy informed. I will use my blog, email, and phone to do just that. Holding a meeting every once and awhile just will not cut it.

When was the last time an alderman contacted you without them being contacted first? I will have signup sheets for those that wish me to call them or email them on what is happening in Cudahy and I will follow through. My word is an honorable one.

I am not one of those people that is selling make believe. We have to do what is right, not what is easy and I will. I am not an optimist or pessimist, but a realist. In the end, your results have to do the talking. I say what I do and do what I say.

I can work with anyone and understand that TEAM stands for, Together Everyone Achieves More. I want to see Cudahy homeowners, renters, business owners and the local government work together. I was laughed at by many of the old guard when I suggested that very thing. I want to bring the renters into the fold and engage them on helping make solutions for Cudahy.

For 17 years my wife and I call Cudahy home. We brought a house here 17 years ago and began to put down roots. We started a family here and have a wonderful 6 year old daughter and 7 year old son in Heaven.

I suggested that our city motto should be updated to, “Cudahy the Place You Want to be!” It fits just perfect for all facets of Cudahy. It works to talk about living, working, shopping, entertainment, and anything else that might come about.

Ask yourself this question, do you want to move Cudahy forward or is the status quo working for you?

I would like you to vote for me, for Cudahy Alderman of the Third District on February 19, 2013 in the Non-Partisan Primary Election and then again on April 2, 2013 in the Cudahy Non-Partisan Spring General Election.

Let me close by repeating a small part of Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address – “Government of the people, by the people, for the people” and let me add that, you and we are the people!
