Life Care Services Promotes Marge Gozdowiak to Executive Director of Eastcastle Place

Milwaukee, Wis., December 20, 2012 – Marge Gozdowiak was promoted to executive director of Eastcastle Place, a Milwaukee senior living community now under the management of Life Care Services™, an LCS™ company. Gozdowiak will oversee all operations at the community where she began working in 1997, most recently serving as vice president and COO.

“I’m thrilled to accept this position and continue working with the great residents and staff that make up Eastcastle Place,” said Gozdowiak. “I’ve been in long-term care for nearly 40 years, and it’s still a great passion of mine. I look forward to building on the reputation this community has earned for providing outstanding service for seniors since 1884. ”

In her 15 years since joining the Eastcastle Place staff, Gozdowiak has held roles of increasing responsibility including director of nursing and VP of health services. She has served as vice president and COO for both Eastcastle Place and Newcastle Place, a Mequon senior living community developed by Eastcastle Place owner Milwaukee Protestant Home. She has overseen the opening of Newcastle Place in 2003 and the addition of assisted living at Eastcastle Place with the opening of The Watertower in 2000. She will now guide Eastcastle Place through the transition of management to Life Care Services.

“Our residents will benefit greatly from the support of Life Care Services as they bring a wealth of expertise and strong financial backing,” said Gozdowiak. “They’re committed to supporting the staff that our residents have come to know and trust while enabling us to make some improvements we’ve been waiting to make.”

Life Care Services recently purchased Newcastle Place from Milwaukee Protestant Home, with a portion of the proceeds committed to improvements at Eastcastle Place. According to Gozdowiak, community management is still determining potential improvements to make, but might include renovations such as a new flooring for the aquatic fitness facility. In addition to physical changes, Life Care Services is currently conducting a resident survey to gauge impressions of services available at the community.

Gozdowiak holds a master’s degree in science and management with an emphasis in long-term care from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, a nursing education degree from the Milwaukee County School of nursing and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from an extension of Upper Iowa University in Milwaukee. A resident of Genesee Depot, Wis., she belongs to Leading Age Wisconsin and is a certified aging professional through Leading Age and the University of North Texas.
