United Way Connects the Community to Volunteer Opportunities
(January 30, 2013) – Waukesha, WI – United Way in Waukesha County would like to invite volunteers to the following opportunities:

Photographer Opportunity, Waukesha
Are you a photographer with not only professional portrait skills, but a creative eye as well? United Way in Waukesha County is looking for ‘on-call’ photographers to photograph a number of events and projects throughout the year, including our signature Volunteer Recognition & Celebration Event on April 24, 2013; looking for both on-going and one-time volunteers. Photos will be used for marketing and promotional materials, and professionals will be given photo credits where images are used. This is an excellent opportunity for photo students to add to their portfolio. Attention to detail and an understanding of our marketing plan are required. Photographer must have their own camera equipment. Photoshop or other editing software skills are a plus. Contact us to display your work and discuss your availability. Must be 18 years or older. School Copying and Counting Assistant, Waukesha
Every other month during the school year, the YMCA sends out information to every elementary school regarding upcoming child and youth programs. Volunteers are needed to help with the copying and counting of the fliers, as well as delivering the fliers to local schools (optional). Volunteers are needed the week of: Feb 5, April 16, September 17, and November 12th. This opportunity would be perfect for anyone looking for a simple but helpful volunteer project! Copying and counting can be done at volunteer's convenience. Contact the YMCA of Central Waukesha County for more details.

Activity Aide, Waukesha
Goodwill Industries of SE Wisconsin is looking for volunteers who would assist adults with disabilities as they create their own t-shirts. Volunteers are needed to assist with selecting and ironing on decorations. This workshop will be held on Saturday, February 9 from 10:00am - 12:30pm. Volunteers must be a minimum of 16 years old, social and mature with a desire to show participants that they are valued. There will be a mandatory 30 minute orientation that will be provided prior to your shift. Please contact Goodwill Industries for more information.

Meal Packers and Drivers Waukesha:
The Waukesha Expo is in need of volunteer mobile meal drivers and meal packers. Volunteer drivers deliver meals to homebound seniors Monday- Friday over the lunch hour. Volunteer packers pack meals from 9:30-11:00 Monday- Friday. Volunteer twice a month or once a week; schedules can be flexible and drivers are reimbursed for mileage.
