Lady Mariners Drop Two Tough Matches

The St. Francis Lady Mariner Volleyball team dropped two tough matches this past week. The losses to St. Thomas More and Whitnall bring the conference season standings for the Lady Mariners to 3-5 with one more conference match against New Berlin Eisenhower on Tuesday Oct. 6th.

 

Both matches started out well for the Lady Mariners but ended with hard fought losses. Against St. Thomas More the Lady M's won the first game but dropped the next three, that was the same case against Whitnall.

 

The stat leaders for the Lady M's against St. Thomas More were Katie Ratkowski with 9 kills, 6 digs and 3 blocks, and Kassidi Macak with 55 assists.

 

Against Whitnall the Lady M's were lead again by Katie Ratkowski with 11 kills and 6 digs, Hannah Ratkowski 9 kills, Becky Gilbreath 3 blocks and 5 aces, and Kassidi Macak 25 assists.

 

The Match against NB Ike will be senior night so the team will be honoring seniors Becky O'Grosky, Kassidi Macak and Katie Ratkowski. Come out and cheer on the Lady Mariners.
