STM Stages "Noises Off," a Behind-the-Scenes Comedy
The students of St. Thomas More are at it again. They're planning another crowd-pleasing evening of live theater for the residents of Bay View and beyond. This year's class play will be the hugely entertaining "Noises Off" by Michael Frayn. The tour-de-force is the story of a traveling troup of actors whose antics behind the scenes are so filled with drama they threaten to upstage the actual performance.
The play when originally performed in England in 1982 enjoyed immense success and in 1992 it was made into a movie with Carol Burnett and Michael Caine taking the leads under the direction of Peter Bogdanovich.
The talent of the STM students will ensure the audience of nonstop laughter come November 6-8 when the played is performed. Tickets are between $9 and $5. Call 482-0432 for more information. The school is located at 2601 E. Morgan Avenue.
