Many older neighbors need help doing yardwork throughout the year: winter, spring, summer, and fall!
Winter brings the call for help with snow shoveling for our older neighbors living through out Milwaukee County.
Hundreds of requests for help with snow removal come every winter season. Volunteers help throughout the season with snow removal on steps, sidewalks, and driveways. Extra volunteers are needed during BIG storms! Often times a repeat visit is needed after the plow goes through or the snow just keeps coming!
Making a clear and safe path makes a big difference for an older adult.
The Good Neighbor Project matches able-bodied volunteers of all ages to assist with these outdoor chores throughout the year: snow removal, leaf raking, yard clean-ups, summer lawn work, etc.
GOOD NEIGHBOR VOLUNTEERS can:
• Arrange Flexible Commitments
• Help Out for a Season or All Year Long
• Perform One Time or Repeat Group Projects
• Get Assigned Matches Close To Home or Work
